Our Christian Science Reading Room is filled with countless resources to help you get to know God better and to experience the healing power of God’s love. The two primary books that Christian Scientists rely on to learn about God and His healing love are the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures (by Mary Baker Eddy). You can purchase or read these books in our Reading Room, located on the upper floor of the Alton Square Mall next to JCPenney, or you can listen online to Science and Health, with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, or you can purchase theBible and/or Science and Health from the online shop of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, MA.
Our Reading Room is also stocked with numerous other resources that promote spiritual growth, including a wide range of Bible-study aids, magazines and articles published by the Christian Science Publishing Society, items appropriate for little children as well as teens, and the complete writings of Mary Baker Eddy. In addition, you can read or purchase the award-winning newspaper, The Christian Science Monitor. All of these items can also be purchased through the online shop of The First Church of Christ Scientist in Boston, MA.
Healing occurs when we get to know God better
For almost a century and a half, Christian Scientists have found that studying the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy has improved their understanding of God and enabled them to experience and prove His healing power in their daily lives. Examples include healings of physical, financial, emotional and relationship issues; business activities and workplace interactions; addiction and substance abuse; and innumerable other problems that we all face. Christian Scientists take to heart God’s promise in Exodus: “I am the Lord, your healer”, knowing that it is not a blind faith in God that heals, but rather an understanding of His unchanging laws, of His nature, presence, and power, that heals. Daily Bible Study to gain an understanding of God
